Rebuilding after the Almeda Fire in Talent and Phoenix
The Almeda Fire started on September 8, 2020, near Ashland, in Jackson County. Within hours it reached Talent and Phoenix. Wikipedia, citing news reports, says the fire destroyed roughly a third of Talent and much of Phoenix, along with parts of Ashland and Medford. Published counts of destroyed structures differ by source, so we give no single figure. Every count we found runs to thousands.
